Representative Dan Newhouse (R-Wash) has announced he will not seek reelection.
Newhouse was one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump in January of 2021.
Politico reports Newhouse has decided to retire from a safe Republican seat in Washington.
In 2024 Newhouse squeaked out a win against a Trump-backed challenger.
Newhouse said in a statement: “This decision comes with no reservations or remorse, only gratitude for the tremendous opportunity to have represented my home state in Congress.”
