Two ICE Detainees Killed, Shooter Dead After Attack on Dallas Immigration Facility

A deadly shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas early Wednesday reportedly left two ICE detainees dead, one person wounded, and the suspected gunman dead, law enforcement sources confirmed.

Police responded just before 7 a.m. to reports of gunfire at the ICE office located at 8101 North Stemmons Freeway, along Interstate 35E.

The situation immediately prompted a large law enforcement deployment, with Texas Department of Transportation cameras capturing dozens of police cruisers and emergency vehicles swarming the access road outside the building.

According to police sources, officers initially searched for a possible sniper or multiple shooters. While the exact circumstances remain unclear, sources later confirmed that one shooter had been discovered dead on the roof of a nearby immigration attorney’s office.

The violence left two detainees killed inside the facility, while another individual was injured, police sources said. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims or the shooter.

The scale of the response underscored the severity of the threat. The incident disrupted morning traffic across one of the busiest commuter corridors in Dallas, and the building itself remained surrounded by heavily armed officers through midmorning.

In a brief statement, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem confirmed that “there was a shooting at a Dallas ICE facility.” She did not provide further details, though federal investigators are expected to take the lead in reviewing the attack.
