President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were quickly rushed off stage after a number of loud sounds, reportedly gun shots were heard at the White House correspondent’s dinner.
Early reports indicate a shooter may have been killed by security in the lobby of the event.
UPDATE: President Trump has now released a new post on Truth Social in the aftermath of the assassination attempt in which he confirms that the suspect was not killed and in fact was apprehended, in addition he apparently wants the Correspondents Dinner to continue.
