The move comes as the administration scrambles to navigate the next phase in the pandemic during a tumultuous economic landscape and a world witnessing war.

Zients is an investor and former Obama economic adviser and was brought in to lead due to his leadership ability in challenging situations.

Zients who was tasked with fixing Obama’s disastrous heathcare.gov website will be replaced by Dr. Ashish Zha, who is currently the Dean of Brown University’s school of Public Health.
